Dr. Christian A. Brandyberry

Dr. Christian A. Brandyberry is proud to have a caring staff and state-of-the-art equipment to take part in serving the dental needs of Thomasville and its surrounding communities. He earned his undergraduate degree from High Point University. He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in Philadelphia at Temple University. After completing his studies, he served as a dentist for the United States Army at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

Dr. Brandyberry came to Thomasville in 2005 to associate with Dr. James G. McGhee. He has spent several hours taking continuing education classes in order to better serve his patients. He is a certified Invisalign® doctor. Invisalign® uses a series of clear retainers to straighten teeth. It is a good alternative to traditional braces in most cases. Dr. Brandyberry is a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Davidson County and High Point Dental Society (he has presided over both organizations), and the North Carolina Dental Society. He is currently working toward his accreditation.

Dr. Brian K. Cook

An Alabama native, Dr. Brian K. Cook feels privileged to now be serving the people of Thomasville. After having completed his undergraduate degree at the University of South Alabama, he earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry. He then served in public health caring for the underprivileged population of North Wilkesboro, NC. With a conservative approach to dentistry, Dr. Cook strives to take time with his patients ensuring that they always know and understand their treatment options. He does not want anyone to feel as they are pushed into procedures. A young dentist with a grasp of the most innovative, minimally-invasive procedures, Dr. Cook has a strong dedication to lifelong learning through continuing education courses. Dr. Cook and his wife Esther have been married for 4 years and have one baby girl, named Evelyn. When not taking care of his patients, Dr. Cook spends his time outdoors. He enjoys camping, hiking, and cycling. Dr. Cook is an active member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, North Carolina Dental Society, Davidson County Dental Society, and High Point Dental Society.

Meet Our Staff

Wendy Marsden, Appointment Coordinator

Wendy has been with our practice since 2006 and has 15 years of experience in the dental field. She will be one of the smiling faces that you see when you first enter our office. Her two daughters and their families live in the area and she enjoys getting together with them as much as possible. She schedules patient appointments, handles dental emergencies and answers many of your dental questions. She is friendly and tries to make every patient feel at home and ease any concerns they may have.

Renee White

Renee is a certified dental assistant who has worked in our practice since 1987. She is married and has two children. She is familiar with all the dental procedures performed in our practice and helps in every aspect of dentistry. Renee is an expert dental assistant who is always very intuitive to the patients’ feelings. She has a way of making patients feel comfortable and at ease.

Kristie Hill

Kristie Hill joined our staff directly from dental hygiene school at GuilfordTechnicalCommunity College, and has worked as a hygienist in our office since 1989. Kristie’s sweet, warm personality puts the patients at ease immediately. Her skills include routine cleaning of teeth, as well as more complicated procedures to treat gum disease. Kristie enjoys her work, and is a devoted family person.

Sarah Plyler

Sarah has been involved in dentistry since she was seventeen yers old. She worked for Dr. McGhee while in high school as a front office person, then, later attended school to become a hygienist. Sarah has been a dental hygienist for over 25 years. Her years of experience enhance her skills at routine dental hygiene (cleaning teeth) and handling patients with periodontal disease. Sarah is very committed to educating her patients about good dental health. Her personality is warm, friendly and very compassionate.

Katie Queen

Katie Queen is a 2008 graduate of GTCC and a board-certified dental assistant. She is an exceptional assistant and her love for her job is apparent in the care she gives to all patients. Katie’s personality is very warm and welcoming.

Beth Embry

Beth has worked in dentistry for 18 years, 14 of which have been with this practice. Beth has front office experience, but works now as a Certified Dental Assistant. She is extremely capable and proficient in her job, and enjoys educating patients. She is eager to answer any and all questions patients may have about treatment and procedures. She has a great personality and the patients enjoy her vivacity.

Barbara Rogers

Barbara has been a dental hygienist for Dr. McGhee for over 25 years. She has tremendous expertise in all areas of dental hygiene, including routine cleanings, patient education, and the more difficult root planing procedures for patients with periodontal (gum) disease. Barbara has a sparkling personality and a great sense of humor that helps put the patients at ease. Her infectious laugh puts patients in good spirits.

Angi Rumley

Angi is our financial coordinator and has worked in our office since 2002. She is married and has two sons. She finalizes the paperwork and insurance coverage for a patient at the end of the dental visit, and collects any payment due. Angi facilitates any financial arrangements that may be necessary for patients needing extensive dental treatment, and works diligently to help our patients maximize their insurance benefits. She has a warm and friendly personality and exhibits patience and professionalism in explaining financial details to our patients.

Amy Mincey

Amy Mincey has been a Certified Dental Assistant for 20 years, and has been working for Dr. Brandyberry for about 2 and a half years. She is a graduate of GuilfordTechnicalCommunity College for Dental Assisting. She enjoys working with children, and evoking a relaxed and soothing dental visit. She brings a special touch of compassion to all her patients.

Alice Brown

Alice has worked in our office since 1997 as our Appointment Coordinator. She is married and has two children. Her smiling face is the first one you see when you enter our office. She helps our patients schedule appointments, handles emergency dental needs, and answers many patient questions. Alice is warm and friendly, and has a wonderful way of dealing with patients and making them feel welcome.
